Lymphatic Massage After a Facelift in Myrtle Beach, SC
Feather-light drainage for your face and neck while you heal.
After a facelift or neck lift, swelling and bruising in the face, jaw and neck are normal and can leave you feeling puffy for a while. Facial lymphatic drainage uses feather-light strokes to guide that fluid toward the lymph nodes in your neck, with special care around the incisions near your ears and hairline. Mel is trained and certified in several manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) techniques, and every session follows your surgeon’s instructions.
How lymphatic massage fits into your recovery
Facial lymph work is the lightest touch there is, just enough to move fluid. We start by opening the pathways in your neck, then gently guide fluid from your face toward them.
You’ll stay reclined with your head elevated, never face-down, and we keep well clear of your incisions. Many clients find it deeply calming at a time when they feel tender and self-conscious.

When to start, and how many sessions
Your surgeon decides when facial lymphatic work can begin. Bring their instructions and we’ll plan your sessions around them. Clients often book shorter, more frequent visits early on.
What clients say
“If you’re looking for someone for post-operative lymphatic drainage or simply want exceptional care, I highly recommend her. Your recovery will be in excellent hands!”
Frequently asked questions
Can you help after eyelid surgery or a neck lift too?
Yes. Tell us about every procedure you had so we can plan around each area.
Will it hurt or disturb my results?
It shouldn’t. The touch is feather-light, and we stay clear of incisions and follow your surgeon’s guidance.
Should I wear my chin strap or garment?
Bring it. It comes off for the session if your surgeon allows and goes right back on afterward.
How long is a session?
Many facial sessions fit in 60 minutes. If you also had body procedures, a 90-minute session may make sense.
When to call your surgeon instead
Lymphatic massage supports your recovery, but it isn’t medical care. Contact your surgeon before your next session if you notice a fever, redness or warmth that is spreading, an incision that opens or drains in a way that worries you, or pain that is getting worse instead of better. If you have sudden swelling or pain in one leg, chest pain or trouble breathing, call 911.
